Honestly paywalls and subscriptions are fine overall. But I can only really afford a couple so it does get frustrating sometimes when so much is behind ones I can't really justify paying for budget wise.
i occasionally grump if posters don't mention when accompanying links are paywalled but i also understand that folks gotta get paid, so i try not to be a dick about it.

The existence of paywalls is valid and important to help keep a free press viable and active. It is equally valid to ‘boycott’ outlets like the wall street journal, the now castrated washington post, and the LA times. I began paying for news the first day wired published the banes of the DIGE boys.
