The really sad part is... The majority of Confederate statues were put up not to honor Confederates, but to remind the recently freed slaves of their need to "stay in their place". And since we're white washing history, why do we need the statues anyway? Was the civil war even real? 🤬🤬🤬🤬
There was a big wave of statues erected from 1890-1910, and another wave in the 1950s in response to the Civil right movement. Both of you are correct.
Had a now former friend pissed about statues torn down, she said “They’re part of our history.” I said “should Germany have statues of Hitler, aren’t they part of their history?” Also asked her how she felt about US tearing down statues of Hussein in Iraq? Uninformed dumbass!
And when said statue spontaneously explodes into rubble it's always 'How dare you' and 'You're a terrorist!'.. just whine whine whine. They're sore losers and even worse winners.
