Oh how I wish David could have saved one of Villarrealβs penalties. We win that cup, donβt sign Ronaldo in the summer and would could have beenβ¦ π₯Ί
Highlighted Ole vs the more experienced Jose. The latter threw his eggs in the EL basket and it paid off. Ole risked HM
And he was injured vs Villa late on and was our best player at that time
His era ended in disaster for the club, but also for him. He can't be hired anywhere serious anymore π
Extremely underrated by our fan base just because he didn't win a trophy.
If only De Gea had saved one penalty, or the team had taken one of the many chances that night π₯
Think any manager who had to deal with Pogba/ Lingard/ Woodward deserves a huge pat on the back.
He could've been much more but we saw how it played out.
We played some nice football (at times) but I never felt we were implementing a style of play that would lead us to genuinely challenging for the league.
It was very sad how it ended.

Board ego did him over bringing back Ronaldo and it completely went against everything he was trying to do. Even the stripping of the 7 jersey would never have went down well in the dressing room. None of which he had any say in
Got consistent results (2 top3, series of wins, beating Pep) from a deflated mismatch of a squad, brought back some positivity & United of old vibe. But he got done by the Glazers & some fluffers of players who let him down
Brought back exciting football, top 4 finishes, just needed a trophy ...
Could've made a difference if we'd stuck to the original system.
Romantic appointment, clouded by his legend status, which will have most others cooing over him and placing him anywhere from A-D
Too loyal to some though, and when sometimes had difficulty of getting us out of a bad run. COVID got him out of the first bad runβ¦
There were some rough times throughout, I remember the first half of 19/20 being quite tricky to sit through until Bruno came in, and the ending was sad too, but the rest of that time did feel very good vibes. A win in that Europa final would've maybe put it at B- for me.
