There is going to have to be a very big push to Heliosphere if folks want to avoid using XMA. And I mean big.
Newer users might not remember the nazi-band / racist hanging stocks from years ago. Glamourdresser came out of that. And it was abandoned by users mostly for promoting paid mods.

But yea.
People would rather be angry about paid mods than other obvious problems.
Kofi/Trello/Payhip/Patreon are not substitutes for XMA. Mod sites are for searching. Those do none of that. And it's worse when the maker doesn't tag anything

Years ago a swath of authors erased their XMA stuff, and it had little impact- esp when they came back anyway. If there is to be meaningful change, it'll have to be through the patreon folk
TBH I never even saw the dropdown menu there.
