It was “a long time ago” but I learned about how rapidly measles spreads. An outbreak along the border in South Texas in the early 80s taught me that numbers grow faster than cases can be tracked. Finally, presumably this tapers off… but not anytime soon.

This is beyond sad. Wholly preventable. I suspect people deciding to forego childhood vaccines have no memory of how it used to be. Generational knowledge and pockmarked scars that told the tale -- gone. Now, pseudoscience and avoidable deaths. Ignorance spreads...kills. Well beyond sad.
