Poor Δria. I read on Insta that she loved water and became known for her water-loving antics while recieving care from the team at Auckland Zoo (she had aspergillosis as a chick).

We're down to 242 #kakapo in the world after the recent death of Aria, a young female on Whenua Hou. Her activity dropped and we found her dead soon after, cause of death unknown. The population will likely drop further before a big bump next year. #conservation #parrots #birds πΈ: Maddy Whittaker
