Farmers and rural landowners are the only ones who see zombie conventional oil assets.

First Nations and northerners are the only ones who see and experience oil sands environmental liabilities.

Everyone else in Alberta sees $$$$$$.

That’s too simple of a summary. At least for farmers and rural landowners. Lots of people in my area love oil and gas.
And I know enough urban people who dislike it.

I think it comes down to education of what really is happening here.
