“What then, is the responsible course of action? For me, the answer now lies in refusal, the withdrawal of participation from systems that require dishonesty as the price of belonging. My resignation represents such a refusal, not a surrender of responsibility but an assertion of it.”
Thank you for all that you've done and I'm sorry to hear we're losing you but my admiration for you or anyone who takes on that responsibility as you have has grown. 💙 Thank you again. Stay strong, "Good Trouble" is the best.
Watching all this happen is so painful, and I am not even having to give up my career. Thank you for not giving up on ethics and honor. I wish we had many more patriots like you in this country right now.
It's a sad state of affairs, but I also respect the decision of not participating or being complicit in dishonesty. At the end of the day, integrity means a lot to me & I would have a hard time being proud of my work in a situation where I am perpetually unable to perform to the best of my ability.
Your efforts have added essential clarity and conviction to the project of science. And I appreciate that you brought that same clarity and conviction to this (very difficult) decision.
