I started reading this last night and Iβve never necked a book so quickly. Lay in bed thinking about the weird anonymous football forums of the early 00s and how we all eventually met in real life. What a time to be alive.
Which generation are you suggesting did that? Because taking the median age of a Millenial as 40 theyβd have been 8 when I was introduced to the internet.
I graduated BSc CompSci in 94 and remember the whole WWW thing, and how it destroyed the competing protocols. The early web was the wild west but it was an interesting time on technical and social fronts. Looking forward to the read!
While reading this I couldn't help but think how much you'd enjoy Sixteenth Minute (of Fame) if you're not already listening. Terrific dissections of internet vitality from the early years up to today.

Thank You.
Glad I decided to follow you.
