There seem to be a lot of poorly educated people who are being drug around by the nose without having any idea that their leaders don’t care for them at all.
Unfortunately, they’re selling all our futures up the river as a result.
“Drug” is standard where I live, and we don’t use “dragged,” but apparently most people in other areas do, so “drug” is regarded as a nonstandard dialect variant.

But if you consider the methamphetamine and opioid problem in rural red areas, drugged is the perfect choice. They are poverty-stricken and continue to vote to keep it that way.
