I just want to let everyone know that yes, we could make a breakfast sandwhich at 10:32. We just don’t want to, because we don’t have to and we hate all of you customers.
I work in fast food (unfortunately) and idk where the breakfast food goes after 10:30 either. What I do know is that it is made fresh, so there isn't a bunch of cooked breakfast just sitting around
Actually we put it in a giant plastic trash bag, throw it over our shoulder, and pedal our way home to tell our moms we helped with meals for the week.
As a former employee of Micky D's, soon as 10:30 hits, watching all the breakfast items be counted and written down before being tossed in the trash would hurt my soul.
Corporate would rather let the leftovers go to waste before giving any of it away for free 😒
"In California, the minimum wage for fast-food workers, including those at McDonald's, is$20 per hour. ... was implemented on April 1, 2024. .... all fast-food workers in California covered by the new law must be paid at least $20 per hour.
They actually feed all the leftovers to the Ronald clone they keep in the back, that way it has enough energy to lay a fresh batch of clown eggs for tomorrow's breakfast menu
Not gonna lie. 23-24 years ago, both my partner and my brother worked at two different McDonald's when we were early 20's, living together & broke. And it was awesome. Breakfast burritos and parfaits were brought home every single day by both of them. Man...
If I was getting paid minimum wage, being allowed to tell some Karen "sorry ma'am we stopped serving breakfast at 10:30" at 10:31 would probably be the highlight of my shift.

Try the employees!
McDonald’s refuses to pay a living wage…
…so their employees tend to be on food stamps, FFS!

(It’s 3:00 am and I’m trying to write a cohesive sentence)
