Labels often aren’t helpful here. But typically, “wrinkle-free” or “stain-free” clothes are more likely to contain formaldehyde, as well as synthetic fabrics. Clothes made of natural fibers (linen, wool, cotton) are less likely to contain the chemical.
Formaldehyde adhesives can be found everywhere in your vehicle: your dashboard, seat cover, flooring, door trim, window sealant. Similar to furniture, the highest levels of the chemical are often found in new vehicles.
