“This is very much connected to the rise of authoritarianism that we’ve seen across the country,” said the executive director of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center. “They can’t win fairly, so they’re trying to rewrite the rules to get their way.”

But it fell short of the 60% it "needed" despite, you know, more than 50% being the majority of voters.
???
I was shocked when rec MJ passed, lawmakers want to overturn/delay. Repub. Governor finds out how much sweet tax $$ will be coming in and pushes HARD to get things up & running ASAP. 😂

It's almost sinful to take pleasure in seeing their will overturned by the legislators they elected.
Hence the vacuum of critical thought.
It's a deliberate, tragic & complete breakdown in the thought process.
Voters approve of/want "law X" because it makes their lives better & isn't attached to a party label but the same voters are beholden to cult membership that vigorously objects to "law X". They're just dumb.
Reps: "Sorry, but you elected us, and we know better what you want and what's good for you."

Shocking!
one person one vote, you may want to have secret ballot and cut down on ways to veto ballots
