marketing brain is a terrible disease, I'm glad I pulled out of that panic spiral and just started to focus on enjoying the process as much as I could. I know I'd be doing this for my own pleasure regardless of if capitalism crumbled, or AI accelerated to the point many artists are scared of.
You are likely right, but referring to my work as such keeps me honest, humble, and aware of its shortcomings. Confidence and belief in the worth of my labor is a wonderful thing, but I feel I should be realistic about it.
Completely agree! I like to make games I'd want to play, even if they're niche or experimental. I'm making a game that is mostly old school text adventure and point & click, but I'm really proud of what I've done so far. Being passionate about what I do is more important than anything else.

The world is meant to be a happy place
But dammit, I think it's cool and fun and decently playable. And from what I hear from all 3 people who played it, I did a good job with it.
I would do it again.

I always have to grab on to one or two specific things to care about and try to develop them on the down low.
