As a plant it didn't exist naturally. We, humans, created it from a different plant. A plant we forced into becoming a Lemon.

However as the creators of lemons many are unaware of this fact. These people instead attribute the creation of Lemons to a god figure.
Which objectively is wrong. As we created Lemons.
This feels like a mute point however.
Animals obviously have zero context for the existence of lemons either.

In a way I think this is a decent argument for the idea that if we were created by a god figure, that we as humans may have outlived out creators.
Uncultivated and left to develop in the wild they would either die out or become something else.
