I am very skeptical of these instances being mistakes. AI gives plausible deniability to war crimes.
Each application is a small step towards a bigger goal.
Soon we will have AI driven cars. Then AI Driven Taxi's, Buses, Trains. Then it's tanks and Self propelled guns, who don't question the orders to shell cities.
We are slowly eroding these road blocks.
First we're removing people from customer support, and next from civil service.
The only thing that stopped this was the human road blocks on every step of the way.
Military.
Those human road blocks are removed, and then you just need a handful of nutjobs.
Scam products have AI customer support who never stop to think "Is what I'm doing wrong."
Corporations without human roadblocks, without whistle blowers ect. That's already a bleak future.
