What is it about lasagna you don't like? The pasta? Cheese? Sauce? Filling? I make mine with spinach, mushroom, onion, and ricotta cheese (no meat) and a tomato-garlic based sauce. When I'm not lazy, I make the pasta myself, too.

I'm not big on that type of pasta but primarily the sauce, I don't like red sauces. I could probably make an abomination version using white sauce and enjoy it but that would basically be a different type of food

nah. lasagna has white sauce. the best ones have a 2:1 or 3:1 with the red sauce. i think someone’s just been going 1:2

Each time I've seen someone make it here it's always been all red sauce and no white. Maybe I'd be more willing to try it again with how you described it

Never had lasagna with white sauce in all my years. I might try it: an alfredo with mushrooms and onions. I don't think I will use the standard ricotta, of course. Probably not spinach, either. But peppers, yes. Maybe tofu...
