Had mine since the early 90s and it still works.

Terrible format though. We lost so much history due to tapes being warped.

I feel this so hard. I have a tape which is the only existing copy of a short fun I made in high school, and I'd love to make a digital transfer of it, but the last time I attempted to play it over 15 years ago, my VCR chewed up the first inch and a half of the tape reel.
