You'd think the obvious public health savings across the board would make this a no-brainer. Those savings are implicitly promised by the US physician community who runs around constantly claiming, for decades, that obesity is the root cause of the poor health outcomes in the US. So why is it $$$?

Even if you believed them, those same hypocrites then turn around and make the anti-obesity drug super difficult and expensive to obtain.
It absolutely works but only for rich people.
But instead they’re making it yet another rich person’s drug that regular folks who, according to physicians, need it can’t get it. Still.
It’s farce.
