x files is such an adhd tv show like every mythology episode introduces an entirely new dynamic with the alien colonization which is then fully abandoned in the next mythology episode in favor of a new, shiny dynamic it hasn't explored yet

I've never watched the show but by that description it sounds really interesting. The main thing I've seen of it is a magnet I have in my room that I acted like I was cursed when I was younger and around friends/younger family.
Binging x-files on DVD was a different experience than watching the "monster of the week". Scully ended up at the hospital every other hour or so, at the end of many episodes! :-)
That feeling when you realise in the xfiles universe EVERYTHING is true, after every episode, and suddenly being super paranoid is just .. understandable.
Was that the one with the flash-forward where he’s in bed and outside UFOs are knocking down buildings by crashing into them?! I’ve been looking for that scene, wasn’t quite sure if I had imagined it
To this day anytime I see Nicholas Lea I go "oh it's Alex Krycek!" even though by now I'm sure I've seen more episodes of other shows he did than episodes of the X Files he was actually on

Nothing ever materialized and the seasons in 2016 - 2018 “deal” with the invasion plot but I won’t spoil it.
