In other words, the number of unemployed Louisiana residents has DROPPED 30% since they implemented Medicaid expansion for all those "young men playing videogames" as Johnson put it...even as ~780,000 residents have gained Medicaid coverage via ACA expansion.

In fact, you could make a pretty strong argument that part of the reason Louisiana’s unemployment rate has dropped so much is BECAUSE they expanded Medicaid.

After all, it’s easier to find a job when you aren’t suffering from an illness or injury.

The unemployment rate in Louisiana dropped gradually from ~6.5% in April 2015 to what I think was an all-time low of ~3.5% in April 2023...which, as it happens, was when Medicaid expansion enrollment was at an all-time HIGH (aside from a weird spike in July 2023 for some reason). 2/
