Pensions depend on the NI you’ve paid. Any level of pension requires a minimum 10 yrs contributions. A full pension requires 35 yrs NI payments. No recently arrived immigrants can access a pension. Any immigrants getting state pension are long term & have paid in.

How you or I may feel about policy is by-the-by. The reason Labour are toast is that they seem incapable of winning back voters who feel that Labour no longer represents their beliefs.

The link between good individual steps and voter intention has been broken. Labour chose to break it.

It's already fairly difficult for immigrants to have access to UC, as I'm sure you're aware. Specific - and quite narrow - criteria need to be met. If this refers to refugees then I have no words for the cruelty that suggests.
