There are many good reasons that people submit their DNA to these sites. A lot of good has come from them. Maybe there will be a bad outcome and maybe not. If you’ve ever given blood or had a blood test, your DNA was “out there” too.

Well, someone could if they so chose. I know it’s not the same as using a DNA company, but there are risks all around, and many people took this one with good reason. Might it bite them in the butt. Perhaps. But I understand the reason(s) for taking the risk.
