But - with all the shenanigans, lawsuits, firings, departures of chief of staff, “our guy”, threats, etc. it is obvious there is more to it.
Here's the fun part: they don't improve wait times by any significant or sustained metric. Meanwhile, surgical volumes in public ORs actually ⬇️, overall surgical volumes performed in the province ⬇️ over 3 years before leveling out barely at pre-pandemic levels. No benefit to ASI except for investors
Agreed. Not directed at you, but important to push back directly on the framing around wait times as a justification, which seems to have been taken at face value by media and other commentators.
CSFs started before Kenney, and conservatives have used wait times as an excuse to privatize health care for my entire life. The UCP has just accelerated the lies, union busting, and cronyism faster than previous governments dared.
