A few faves of many:
- mirroring & the idea that we all need to be cautious not to become that which we despise
- the incredibly thoughtful way it deals with PTSD
- Solas's redemption arc (& the inclusion of the line "making amends isn't about what you want")

I’ve had that big DA map on my wall for years so I love that we finally got to run around in Tevinter, Nevarra, Rivain, and Antiva. I liked the exploration of the different factions and meeting characters from those areas. As a Valta fan, my fav story tho is probably Harding and the Kal-Sharok.

- The whole 3rd arc. Everything about it. All dialogue, banter, twist, everything.
- Davrin. His arc spoke directly to me and it also wrapped one of my favorite misteries, the fate of the Griffins.

The Shadow Dragons, SD!Rook's flavour text and interactions with Neve, and Dock Town as a whole.
DATV made me love Tevinter and being able to shape its future for the better was so satisfying.

I liked the bits where the game looked you in the face and said "Rook, do the side missions."

I liked that it didn't force me to feel a particular way about Solas.

Taash's romance, especially with a trans Rook.

Finally going to Weisshaupt.

Seeing my old Inquisitor was like seeing an old friend.

i love the overall theme of dealing with loss and regret, but embracing change and *hope*. just because you did this or wanted that in the past doesn’t mean you’re bound to that future—you can change, and change is a good thing! and each companion’s arc expresses that beautifully

The overall design of the game and how the art helps relate to the characters. The characters rooms changing throughout the game becoming more homey. How the companions compliment each other in battle

- having kinder options that rewarded the player, not made them feel stupid (being reasonable with the warden, sparing the couple in treviso, saving the mayor too bc if you don't a lot of people die)

It's hard to beat the whole 3rd act.
Weisshaupt was definitely the best action sequence.
But one moment that stuck with me was walking around the graveyard with Emmerich, honoring the dead. It was a sweet and tender moment.

I love that Solas lived in every ending. Everyone was so convinced that he would die and he didn't. He got a chance to redeem himself and be with Lavellan in the fade. There's something so timeless about them becoming a myth of their own 😭

Bellara - I went from ohoho, we're the same (ADHD) to oh no, we're the same (the rest of her story). A difficult and cathartic quest line. I love her so much and cry every time.

I'm not sure why it helps to cry for a fictional character instead of my own grief but it does. The last companion quest hit so close to home.
