Coincidentally, just yesterday, I think, I saw a Bluesky post all about a cat who got himself skunked. There was even a photo showing the most miserable looking wet feline, post bath.
Man, I can't IMAGINE trying to give a cat a decontamination bath (or 3 or 4). π¬π«π± I'm glad yours stay inside!
Me too. Waffles has enough stuff to get into in the house!
Although I don't think he'd mind a bath, he doesn't mind when I turn the water on for a shower. He will sit under the faucet, and I'll tell him, "You're going to get wet" and then he does.
Incredible. Truly. Back when I had cats, I had to give medicated baths/showers to an adopted kitten with mange & then to one of my own adult cats that got it, too.
Holy feline violence! My arms, face, and torso were attacked, lol. Bled everywhere.
He's in for a rude awakening, we have a Maine Coon kitten we're picking up in mid-August. Mr. Spoiled Jerkbutt is gonna be getting a taste of his own medicine. The baby is already huge at two weeks and has big polydactyl bappers.

The clean-up was a nightmare. But the cleanup after Zola's encounter with a skunk (at 2 a.m. on my birthday, no less) was even worse. ππ
Thankfully our cats do not go outside because we do have an awful lot of skunks in the neighborhood.

Do you have photos of Waffles getting a shower?
