They announced the performers ahead of time, so probably that one! Janet Jackson absolutely killed it, and so did Lainey and Alex (two artists I'd never heard of before) but my gosh that was a terrible show. I bet they never do another one, heh. They skipped the last hour.

Yeah, I hate to say it but given how many artists skipped showing up, I have to think that their PR teams saw the writing on the wall. The seasoned performers were all tops in their own time periods... but how baffling to have so MANY of them and skip out the big awards?? What on Earth!

It was 2hrs this year, but isn’t it usually 3?

They only announced 20% of the awards and it seems the rest was just performances and filler.
