I went to Yate+Chipping Sodbury, WSM, Thornbury (and walked down the Severn, then Portishead and walked to Clevedon... (I think that was the gist, other than going to Bristol a few times)

well yate is lovely when you walk out of it (ditto Thornbury, etc)
Thornbury had a local museum I was going to go to, but obviously the opening times were... random

I could treat the month’s travel as “pitch up here and see if you’re lucky”

Of course, having given me a month’s travel, they don’t make finding places with buses easy.

well yes... and the map on the website was "useless" at working out what was within the boundaries
and from memory when I used the weca travel planner, it told me I had to walk to wsm (no bus, no cycling, no... etc)
