Pathogenesis: A History of the World in Eight Plagues, by Jonathan Kennedy, is fascinating, very well written, and presents a βgreat microbes theoryβ of human civilization.
I lost the ability to read a novel or book not long after becoming disabled 20+ years ago with ME/CFS. I used to read 2 to 4 books a week. (Fortunately, I can read long articles again and research.)
