He has not been ordered released, just ordered returned to the US. That happened, albeit very late.

They left him in a death prison in El Salvador weeks after his return was ordered by a judge on 4/4, and by SCOTUS 4/10
Claimed they had no power to return him.
They admitted he was deported in error 3/15
Had no criminal record or charges
6/7 he returned, and suddenly faced new manufactured charges
