anyway, "minimize harm" is literally the goal and should be the goal for everyone. obviously the world is fuckin' evil and there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, but we still have agency and can choose to minimize harm.
but the logic being bad based on the evidence isn't the same as a fallacy which has a structural error, instead of a value error.
* Coping, fallacious ones that lie to themselves and others
* Ones whose logic would also work perfectly well, with no alterations, to defend cannibalism and pedophilia
Here we have the latter kind. At least they're honest.
