I believe these aps are used to hide what they are doing, yes. However, I have seen no evidence that Project 2025 specifically mentions it. In fact, in a P2025 training video they specifically mention the public records laws.

My problem with the 'Signalgate' formulation is that it tends to demonise an in fact excellent and increasing useful (and probably soon vital!) secure messaging app. The ne plus ultra of secure communication, in fact - for private citizens.

Could we not find another shorthand?
