Is Destiny a union-project or a non-union project?

Cause I'm kinda confused as to why we're not seeing voice actors return at all or refusing to do work through the strike.

SAG-AFTRA isn't supposed to chokehold non-union projects, and people are allowed to waiver to work on non-union stuff too!

I understand people want to strike along with their fellow workers and friends, but if they don't have to... why should they have to suffer?

If a company isn't on the big list for strikes, and has protections put in place, and values their employees... shouldn't it be fine to do the job?

They’re not employees, and they don’t have protections in place or they wouldn’t be refusing work. Places with an agreement with the protections they’re asking for are not restricted and actors can do work for them freely.

Maybe Bungie would’ve, but Sony controls their business side now, and how confident are you in them to do the same? Speculating about a wildcat strike while an authorized strike is ongoing is frankly ridiculous. Bungie could clear up this ambiguity at any time, that they choose not to is telling.

I’m really excited for the upcoming stuff for Destiny, but continue to be incredibly disappointed that the people in charge of bargaining with SAG-AFTRA are clearly still trying to shaft the voice actors. PLEASE push for a deal or to sign an interim agreement with the actors so they get treated fair

That’s literally what a scab is. If a position previously filled by a union actor is replaced by a non-union one due to an ongoing strike, that’s scab work. Nobody cares that you’re willing to throw labor under the bus, but we do care if Bungie is.

Well considering Debra Wilson is part of SAG-AFTA and is still doing lines, that likely means Bungie is complying with the demands. I don’t see anything wrong with hiring interim voices in the meantime while some still strike in solidarity.

The lines were recorded before the strike was called. They are not complying with the demands. If the strike had been called earlier we would also have a mute Savathun.

I’m not arguing for or against anyone. I support the VAs striking just as much as I support the ones who aren’t, but I also support the consumer getting a properly fleshed out product. It’s not ideal, but a temporary solution like this is better than silence (and WAY better than AI, screw that)

Reward passes are just for the seasonal rank ups that give cosmetics, resources, ornaments, and such.

Seasonal content is free to all players starting with Edge of Fate.

Active pass means first available/current season. So if you buy EoF at launch, that pass is the active one.
