I don’t mind that it’s tonally different from the game. It’s just that this version does not feel as earned or nearly as powerful as the game. Imo they’ve not done a good job in S2 solving the translation to another medium.

But… most other things are excellent. Prod value, acting etc.

I think that the changes to Dina and her relationship with Ellie have taken the tone in a different direction. I can understand the criticism but I don’t mind the shift. Her downfall will hurt more, especially with what eventually happens with Dina.

Dina’s been the single greatest highlight of S2. Isabela Merced is killing it.

We’ll see how things pan out. There only being one ep left means they’ve surely drastically changed some ‘Day 3’ events.
