The coverage of this EU deal acts like the last five years haven't happened. Polls now show overwhelming support for a closer relationship with the EU, with even Reform voters backing things like the youth mobility scheme, and yet the coverage is still being framed about "betrayals" of Brexit

People will soon see through the liar, but they don't do this they are misusing the name Labour!
Workers rights bill, renters bill, all cozying up to reform
They'll never mention that our sovereignty will remain intact and fishermen will be more than happy to sell their catch to EU markets again.
Polls currently do not a clear majority for rejoin though.
This is an important distinction which many seem to ignore

What can you expect from swine but grunts.
The whores of the right wing press just do whatever their billionaire pimps/owners tell them to do.
It isn't a betrayal rather a better way to trade.
Don't they care about business in the UK anymore
Nothing will change unless people confront them.
Fuck them. At least my holiday passport queues will be shorter.

What happened to the mandate from the 1975 once in a lifetime referendum?
Farage is never off TV and/or radio even though he has his own channel.
R/wing media dictate the narrative.
There I’ve solved the problem .
Wait a minute!
Sometime I despair for the species
Nigel Farage is not loyal to the UK. He should be punished for his disgraceful behaviour as MEP, for disinformation, anti EU, racist lies.
Media is complicit never ask about 💰 that funds him
I mean, as if…….
And Labour, now the Brexit party, have cosponsored it by not being honest about the damage done or that immigrants aren’t to blame.
What do reform voters actually want?
Today’s coverage was all farage but nothing from the liberals or greens on the bbc - and little from labour.
Nobody reads the papers yet they ate given so much coverage - such a joke
If they want to argue the toss about it, then let's have a "once and for all" referendum to see if it's a betrayal or not!
In reality Starmer has zero intention of breaking any of his beloved Red Lines.
Biased and bigoted.

Having him and Cameron campaigning for the Remain side was a big mistake, and probably the reason we all lost.
Lexit was also nuts
That’s what makes this ‘reset’ so vulnerable. Not belief, but fear.
Unfortunately Labour don’t seem to believe in much of anything, they just chase whatever focus groups tell them is popular irrespective of what their own supporters think.
Labour winning power in & of itself is pointless if they don’t use it to undo Toryism
“Hello, I like bread!” 🤪🤣
Nobody cares about a graph going up
Labour Neoliberals 2025 lied for power, turned on the working class, capital sets gov. policy, no tax increases, austerity & cuts
Even opposing the WFA changes is only because it’s losing them votes, they’ll still scapegoat vulnerable minorities etc etc
I really don’t understand that one?
Immigration is a “problem to be solved” & inherently bad…apparently
My question, admittedly perhaps being pedantic, was how does the policy of pursuing closer ties with the EU appeal to Reform voters?
I really don’t think it does.
All it does is give the brexity dip💩s more airtime
They prioritise Reform voters with all their reactionary RW BS
They even have an embedded GB News journalist
I don’t know why people think Starmer is secretly rejoining
It would take around 5 years to get out of the trade deals the Tories which do not match EU regs.
Then a minimum of 5 years to negotiate to rejoin.
That is why Labour is not embracing it now. Labour would be in its third before it could happen
There is no 5D chess, or long game with Labour.
lt's winning 411 seats from 650 on 33% of the vote that's a fragile power.
It's something the Labour party failed to recognise...
Even opposition to the WFA changes only started once it became clear it was losing them votes (& by extension threatening that generous MPs salary)
Goddess knows the state of the country after Reform are in government, there’ll be nothing worth saving!
As far as I can tell Reform voters are delighted at the rhetoric, it proves them correct in their minds…
They won’t vote Labour though
They’ll lose millions.
Remainers still more likely to hold their nose and vote 'tactically' for parties that have lots of loud red lines about preventing British people getting freedom of movement back.
If it was over 3 years then £3/day seems alright to me and certainly something an employer could afford.
The upperclass twerp from Reform didnt sound like a "man of the people"!
Read this stuff from Hannan. I think he might suffer from EU Derangement Syndrome.

Starmer may as well go the whole way and rejoin. It would only upset a portion of the electorate, rather than everyone.
....and almost all of them will be better off.
The rejoin ultras display the same sense of exceptionalism they (rightfully) criticise soo much from the Brexit rejoins.
We do not “hold all the cards”, nor can we “rejoin tomorrow”.
Relationships take time to be rebuilt
