That feeling when your Canadian friend messages to say, "Hey, I hope you're ok because I see it's a particularly bad week in the USA" and you pretty much break down crying because it feels so good to know that somebody sees what is happening at all

I imagine dinosaurs thrashed about in a dangerous manner after the meteor hit. Didn’t stop the change that was coming.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to trusted contacts around the world for reassurance. We see you. I grew up in a dysfunctional home where my experiences weren’t seen or acknowledged. Many of us deeply understand the “Am I imagining this / am I crazy” cognitive dissonance that can take hold in a vacuum.
My big sister just spent 5 months in florida and she was always saying "you worry too much, there's nothing happening really, it's all wind" then she came back and saw the extent of what's going on and she's in shock. Her daughter was a foreing student in Havard three years ago.
