I’ve been playing against a computer opponent that is slightly better than me but instead of just straight playing, I try to guess what the best move is and then I let the computer do what it thinks is the best move. I’ve learned a couple neat tricks that way and it’s less frustrating
I feel like playing the London mainline is a pretty good direction as white because there are only like two gotchas you really need to look out for in the first 12 moves or so and the games have similar themes no matter what they do. (Been a few years)
I had to quit playing https://chess.com; I would go on epic losing streaks and it was so depressing and infuriating, then I’d say nasty things in the chat and I got muted for a day, then a week, now muted for year
