(Rhododendron maximum), also known as great laurel or rosebay, is an evergreen shrub native to eastern North America. It can grow up to 10m tall and is characterized by its large leaves and white, pink, or pale purple flowers. It thrives in moist, well-drained, acidic soils in partial to full shade.
