Similar proposals are in multiple states after a court ruling in 2022, though opponents say the move would impose one religious view on people with different religious traditions

The irony: The primary purpose of the Second Amendment is to ensure that should a tyrannical power overtake the Nation, Americans will be able to defend themselves.
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
I'm just going to say it. There is no evidence to support that claim that the god they describe exists. It's all stories that old men wrote down in a book and recited for centuries to the masses to control them. School is for evidence based education. Leave it that way!
Separation of CHURCH & STATE our country was FOUNDED on FREEDOM of RELIGION🥺😣😤🤯When THEY force you to bend the knee to them and them alone FREEDOM is lost 😡When 1️⃣ Freedom falls ALL will follow🤬The Hypocrites know nothing of JC👣👇
If Trump can not be forced to put his hand on the Bible during an oath, then classrooms should not be forced to display the 10 commandments. He did not forget to put his hand on the Bible. She held two of them right under his nose, for Gods sake.
Texas is full of idiots especially Abbot and Paxton . Power hungry and greedy cheaters who care only about themselves and have no respect for the law.they are not religious!
If these Christian Nationalists read the New Testament, they would know that Jesus would not approve of these laws. But then, these laws have little to do with Jesus.
I am hopeful that representatives from other religions push so their voices are also heard in the classroom then. One nation under God did not define who's God.
Here's how to know that republicans posting the Ten Commandments is just dishonest control of the powerless: they do not apply the Ten Commandments' standards to their leader; he's not asked to follow them or repent for his behavior that defies them.
TX needs to put Ten Commandments in churches & pass laws prohibiting Evangelical or any Christian to engage in pedophilia, grooming, sexual assault & raping of kids which is a national disgrace & epidemic in Christian churches. Stopping adults frm committing crimes against kids should b ur priority.
Since the Edict of Toleration Christianity has relied primarily on government to do its recruitment. Blasphemy laws and Inquisitions ran for centuries.
I think then that EVERY religion should have their rules up also. Who the F do these half ass backwards states think they are? Separation of Church& state? Oh wait…. Now churches can be taxed right?
Freedom of religion = freedom from religion. You can believe in any mythological Canaanite war god you want, but forcing your delusions on children at the expense of every taxpayer is deeply sick and perverted.
You can post the ode to Athenian youth, add the 10 C sure but those fighting the good fight don’t follow the rules and play hypocrisy time and time again. This is just to shift our focus as you can barely get kids to look away from their cells.
I don't think they should be taxed if they're performing their mission. If they're not performing their mission, then yes, absolutely they should be taxed.
Also, they pay for the land and resources. They’re just not taxed on any profits — because they don’t have any — and they’re generally exempt from local property taxes.
There is a lot of confusion about what “non-profit” means. It doesn’t mean “not bringing in any money at all”. It means money generated above expenses.
1st amendment being challenged, keep your faith out of my kids school, or face the consequences of attacking my rights, and the rights of people demanding we are not subjected to any faith belief being governmentally backed in public settings.
Sadly, children will be very disappointed when realize their Christian political leaders refuse to live by any ethical and peaceful standard exemplified in the 10 commandments. While I’m not supportive of god in the classroom, we all pine for leaders living up to standards for tolerance and justice.
The Ten Commandments were from Moses, a prophet Jews, Christians AND Muslims acknowledge. Refer to them as Jewish or Muslim commandments and I wonder how many Christians would endorse them being forced on everyone?
Indoctrination IS one of public school’s purposes. The indoctrination was SUPPOSED to be to integrate children as productive members of their community. It was funded by the public because the whole of it would benefit ALL of the public. Too many school boards have taken control
of public education and turned it into a private endeavor catering to a specific niche of the community, excluding many while still forcing them to pay the taxes to support it. Schools no longer graduate students ready to be contributing members of inclusive communities. Inclusive communities thrive

I guess Nazis don't follow the Constitution.
Taxing them on what? Real estate? It’s not like they have any income.
They have profits. And churches don’t have profits.
