As a kid growing up in the public school special education system, our class went from a broom closet to an actual classroom. I have dyslexia and I’m proud of my differences, without the services I received I would not have graduated and gone on to succeed. I have surpassed what anyone ever dreamed.

There will be no special education after DOE is killed by Trump. States say it’s too expensive to fund their state’s schoolchildren who require additional help in school. Screwing over children is a special kind of evil that should have a special kind of hell for those that do this to kids.

My Granddaughter has DS and I will always be grateful for the teachers and teachers assistances that guided her through her education. She is now 20 and works in a college bookstore.
