If this line was actually operational I would not have had to cycle 60km in a freezing rain alongside freight lorries to get home after De Ronde in 2022, because Eurostar couldn't take any bicycles anymore post Brexit.

Even if they meant a busline and not a railway line, there is't one: bus 20 of the free Dunkerque network DK'BUS from De Panne railway station (Adinkerke) ends in Leffrinckoucke, you have to change there to get to Dunkerque. https://www.dkbus.com/page.php?rubrique=1&id=mon-plan-reseau

Sadly old enough to remember going through the border control on the A16 (or what preceded it) between France and Belgium en route to Aachen and the German motorway network. My parents were always confused by the 2 languages on signs.

Don't tell them! With any luck we can get them to send all their border control guards there and to the Hasselt-Maastricht line, maybe Raeren-Walheim, so we don't have to bother on the lines that are in use.
