It always feels like the people that look at these as "requirements" as a group lead are always the worst players stuck at +4 without any self awareness.

You don't really have a choice since people buy Mythic+ boosts all the time and you want a clear picture.
That is why I rarely pug anymore and keep in guild, it's obviously a better experience overall.
