I'm stating that bugs do not necessarily mean everyone will look at a game as half-baked. I write software for a living and perhaps that skews my perspective. Bugs happen. You do your best to find them all but it's near impossible to find them all.

As to my Skyrim ex, the bug I experienced at launch actually made me laugh it was so ridiculous. Edge case of edge cases. I used it mostly as an example of not speaking in absolutes and putting your opinion as truth for others.

Fair example. I will argue with cyberpunks issues and bugs that there was nothing enjoyable to be had about that. Especially not when you as a customer pay full price for a game that you expect to actually finished

Call it a counter example. I am in no way stating that all bugs are good. Someone else might have experienced my bug and had it ruin their game. We all like different things and find amusement in our own ways.

Half-baked can be a VERY subjective term. For some, DAV may be seen as half-baked because one of the decisions (or two) that really mattered to them was not included in the game. To me? That isn't half-baked. To some, half-baked is the game didn't match their headcanon - aka lazy writing.

People are free not to like DAV or any other game because it didn't resonate with them for one reason or another. The game wasn't "good" for them but that doesn't mean it wasn't "good" for someone else. You are entitled to your opinion, but please keep in mind that is YOUR opinion.

Not really. I had zero issues playing it at launch. That was my experience. My husband played on PS4 and had all the joy of the shit graphics. A lot of times when a game has a shit release or a lot of issues on release, it's not the devs (writers, programmers, etc) making the decision to release.

Then you’re the only person not to have experienced issues with it.. As a customer you are allowed to expect quality of the products you buy (unless you buy cheap on purpose ofc). I agree with you that the devs etc. don’t hold all the power when it comes to decision-making for releases.

But they certainly are the ones that get all the vitriol especially when they try to be assessable to their fans. Situations like what happened yesterday can NEVER be justified imho no matter the 'yes but...' justification. Besides, yesterday's awfulness was not related to bugs.

I would argue that nowadays it’s the company as a whole, and also the CEOs who get the most vitriol, and that,I think, is fair. I’m not for harassing or attacking game devs (the actual developers) at all. When a game company makes a broken game they need to be held accountable
