When you advocate for a monarchy or a dictatorship the problem is that inevitably, at some point, the leader will force you into something you don’t want. You’ll beg for checks and balances then. This is literally why our country fought for our independence.

Oh I agree, but as you point out, last time it took a war. How strong is your Constitution if it takes a war to create it, and another to enforce it. I would argue that makes it pretty worthless. The Constitution should be heralded as the guiding principle on which society is built, not torn down.

Except the democrats can criticize their party leader. And I'm sorry but the Biden administration wasn't wrongly deporting people to an El Salvador prison and then refusing to bring them back. Your country may be divided, but Trump is the only one who managed to turn your trade allies against you.

Not my country, I just lived there for a while. Pretending one side is "perfect" while the other is "evil" is exactly the problem that MAGA is playing into. To engage in that type of nonsense is to encourage the extremists. Biden had faults, Trump has faults, who is worse is politics, sadly.

I completely agree that both sides have their faults. In my opinion Trump is far worse.

I don't think the entire MAGA party is evil. I think a lot of people just trust the likes of Fox News. That's led to people being misinformed and just going along with whatever Trump is doing.

What I will agree with is that the concept of MAGA has been co- opted by malicious actors to hide their racism, segregationist and fascist tendencies under the facilitation of a self centered political ideology. An ideology that is vague in its true intent in order to hide flaws and fallacies.
