π§΅on the GOP #MedicaidMassacre
This bill will hurt tens of millions of people. Seniors and folks in rural America will be the hardest hit. But we will all suffer.
Because I have a background in healthcare, I though it important to lay out the real stakes for this cowardly act by Trump and the GOP.

House GOP is holding a hearing on their tax bill at 1:00 AM because they don't want us to know about their scheme to strip 13.7 million people of health coverage & they think no one will stay awake for it.
Iβll be there, testifying & offering amendments to protect our families.

Otherwise, we're all just twiddling our thumbs.
Those are the points.
Use this to get rid of them in 2026. Then we 86 Trump (throw him out) from the White House in 2028.
Also, I don't know if you've noticed but suspending all due process my put a small crimp in your plan. Perhaps a more timely response on your next attempt.

Medicaid covers 83 million people. That is nearly 1 in 4 across the country, especially in the South and Rust Belt.
They are primarily elderly, disabled, and poor.

Consequently, the Medicaid numbers in the non-expansion states are skewed down due to people not currently getting care.

Many are taking care of families or ill or cannot find work.

About 30% of Medicaid funding goes to seniors. Millions rely on it to pay for the daily skilled nursing care they need. The alternatives without Medicaid are not good, if their are any.

For decades, rural America has watched as hospitals in their communities gradually closed. This bill will put those closures into hyperdrive.
More than 300 rural hospitals are in "immediate risk" of closing.

Future closures will create "healthcare deserts" where it could take hours and crossing state lines to get emergency care.
Stay focused they want this budget to pass this week.

After all, every Republican there is an elected representative and their duty and responsibility is to their constituents.
Do you know if there is an account that only posts the current talking points? There needs to be!
I worked as general counsel for a SNF provider for years. Medicaid was the primary source of funding for seniors in those facilities and it wasn't close.
