The sweeping attack on trans rights is in and of itself horrific, but it's even more disturbing that they seem to have lost the ability to write even somewhat consistent seeming law.

Why the hell didn't they just find that the law passed heightened scrutiny? It'd be a classic Robertsian evasion.
