The internet ruined the word "kong" for me. 🙃

I misread that as... Something else thanks to the "Expand Kong" meme.

DK’s almost nervous smile is so relatable to me.

I've got respect for the UK Rare games and design--and people love 'em--but they're not my jam

Yeah, I mean that less as a slight to Rare and more Joy at a much more Nintendo-forward look for Our Ape

Do feel bad for how hard the designer is taking it personally as a reflection of their skill as an artist tho

Oh that's a shame! I hope the designer knows that Rare DK is a whole Generation's platonic ideal

And it spoke to the market of the times, so props as well. But I'm happy for a DK who feels like part of the Mario family again

basic response has been shock that it took nintendo this long to replace his trash with something someone talented made

the best of both worlds
