Likewise the huge profits the hotels make from housing asylum seekers or homeless. Staffing levels are lower and food supplied almost non existent yet they charge amazingly high prices for substandard accommodation that wouldn't pass basic health & safety if running them as hotels.

The Conservatives deliberately delayed processing asylum claims so that refugees would be blamed for the huge cost of housing them.

After 14 years of Austerity cuts, it's easier to make gullible people angry when they believe that money is being spent on refugees instead of Brits.

Some asylum seekers have been waiting 10 years to get citizenship. Meanwhile they can't work, don't qualify for benefits or even healthcare, and allowance isn't enough to even pay for all the basics.
