President’s Trophy season was fun. Another Vezina and maybe even a Hart for Hellebuyck was fun. Yet: could’ve, should’ve, would’ve done more. The Stanley Cup is the ultimate goal, and the journey persists and doesn’t get any easier.

Say what you will about the Boston team that was one of the best of all time. They spent to win at the trade deadline. The jets should have serious discussions about this. Chevy should be interrogated
Chevy has done a great job in this market. Jets with the most wins of any team over the past two seasons. Morrissey out was just another unfortunate blow.
(Chevy’s two deadline acquisitions were the worst and third worst net ratings, according to @hockeystatcards.com (and Stanley was 5th worst with only 5GP)… so he gets both his flowers and whatever is the equivalent opposite.)
But to me he still has a lot of credit for his GM performance.
I think Arniel wears some of this too, because he has tried to shoe-horn Stanley into the top 6 for far too long, and if he had made it clear to Chevy that he needed better it might have changed things.
