It also sucks that the result of “letting them play” is that injured players just aren’t fun to watch. This is precisely why I hate the Panthers. Bennett throws his elbows around so regularly that he almost knocked his own goalie out of a series.

I understand not making calls in an OT unless they're egregious, the hacking, slashing and grabbing during regulation makes it close to unwatchable.

Teams need veterans in the playoffs not because they play better, but because they know better how to cheat and take advantage of bad officiating. The regular season is false representation. The playoffs are an entirely different sport. It’s pathetic.

Like, we shouldn’t be okay with the idea that we can’t see Draisaitl do his thing because his opponents intentionally slash his injured ankle in-between plays, or Nurse breaking Hintz’s foot on a slash nowhere near the play resulting in him missing games. How is that an entertaining product?

For the Jets, seeing teams go after Morrissey and Scheifele every playoff season gets a bit tiring. Teams know they are key and tee off on them, and it has been a successful strategy. I miss Buff. Not just a deterrent, but also a force. Might the Jets consider reuniting 44-8 for one season?
